The Otatop

The Otatop is a highly practiced culture. Despite its widepsread influence, those who practice this culture are unlikely to reveal themselves and instead conduct their rituals in private. The frequency with which the Otatop perform their rituals is dependent on their commitment to the Otatop society. Some especially loyal Otatop are known to spend hours every single day worhsipping their god.

The ritual begins with an Otatop settling their body into physical peace: their limbs are settled onto the holy seating meant to bring physical peace and relaxation, then a ceromonial cloth is laid upon them to bring warmth to th body and soul. After physical peace is achieved, the Otatop offer an item to their god- a small, rectangular box that requests contact. After successful contact, the god of the Otatop is believed to appear on a small screen for worshippers to pray to. After successful contact, many Otatop spends hours on end just watching and listening to the screen in hopes of being granted internal happiness.

However, a recent study has shown that the Otatop who are less devoted to their rituals are more likely to achieve more sleep and attain higher levels of success. Devoted Otatop have attempted to deny this reality, and continue with their outrageously long practices. Instances of Otatopism have been known to occur all around the world; however, it is known to be more prevelant in developed societies, perhaps indicating the embellished lifestyle of those willing to commit to Otatopism. Recently, many have begun to see the numerous drawbacks of committing to such a lifestyle, yet this culture still remains incredibly prominent throughout the world's societies.
